SECBE Awards – Finalists

Two of our projects are up for the prestigious building project of the year (over £10 million) at the SECBE awards. Winners are announced later today, sadly only one project can win this award, but we are happy that both have been recognised for their impact on their end users.

Green School for Boys:
A £33m scheme in Hounslow involving the design, construction and fitout of a new 9,000m2  5FE secondary school with 6th form, including modifications to the existing car park, new cycle and refuse stores, a multi-use games area and installation of an artificial sports pitch on the sports hall roof, with associated plant, landscaping and lighting.

St Nicholas Primary School:
A new 4FE SEN ASD Primary School on the site of the existing St Nicholas school. The new school provides teaching and learning facilities for key stage 1 & 2 as part of Croydon Council’s school building programme.

The existing 2FE Special School has effectively doubled in size within a new 4 storey block to accommodate the increasing demand, and incorporates a specialist nursery assessment suite.

The design responds to the heavily sloping site, maximises external play space and provides safe, secure pupil drop-off.
