We want to offer a huge congratulations to one of our associates, Stuart Large. After months of hard work Stuart has qualified as a Certified Passivhaus Designer through the AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Building).
As well as aligning with HNW’s own Sustainability Strategy and agenda, the passivhaus qualification links into a multitude of projects we are involved with, including previous work we completed for Southampton City Council, where we reviewed how they would be able to deliver their Green City Plan 2030 and achieve Net Zero Carbon Homes by 2030.
Using the criteria set out in the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge we assisted in defining 4 levels of specification for energy efficient building fabric and how these and Passivhaus standards could be achieved over the 10 year timeline.
If you have any queries about Passivhaus and how this can be used on your projects, let us know.
