At HNW we pride ourselves on that fact that a number of our staff have come right through the Practice having started as a Year Out student before returning to University and then coming back to HNW to continue to build on the experiences, relationships and ambitions they developed earlier.
We have a strong belief that it is our 'people' that make us the successful practice we are. If you are interested in joining us to deliver our vision of a better, lasting and sustainable social legacy by our influence on: People, Spaces, Landscapes & Environments to live, learn, work & play, then get in touch.
We are a very approachable and supportive Practice with a strong social side including sports, practice meals, cakes (lots of cakes) and evenings out. We also offer a structured and carefully selected programme where each student is given a personal mentor to help with specific tasks and engage directly with you. Your mentor will also help you complete your PEDR’s.
As a Part I student you should expect to be involved in a wide range of topics and project workstages to help broaden your experiences, as well as being involved in exciting design schemes and drawings. As a Part II student we will develop on these experiences and work towards your Part III qualification with you. Every student will cover topics including the RIBA Workstages, Planning Processes, Procurement Options, Sustainability/BREEAM, Appointments, Health & Safety, Practice Management, Building Regulations, Deadlines, Site Visits and Project Continuity.
It is for these reasons that we believe we offer an excellent opportunity for you post University, but don’t just take our word for it. Click the links and images below to read experiences and reviews from our previous Part I, II and III students and see for yourself:
