Historic

Chichester boasts nationally significant historic buildings from the C12th cathedral through history to the Powell & Moya’s iconic Chichester Festival Theatre.

At HNW Architects our experience in this sector is founded upon Historic Buildings schemes including subtle modernisations such as the Corn Exchange through to more radical installations within Chichester College’s celebrated entrance building, where the roof voids have become dramatic viewpoints looking out over historic Chichester to the Cathedral itself.

Listed buildings need to be treated with care, but not wrapped in cotton wool. We believe that our own office refurbishment is a great example of allowing a Listed Building to become a contemporary working environment, proud of its heritage whilst being given a new lease of life.
