Planning Approval: Land Rover Pulborough & Bentley Sussex
The Planning Application for a new Land Rover Showroom and Workshop in Pulborough, the removal of the existing Petrol Filling Station and the extension, refurbishment and re-branding of the Bentley Sussex Showroom and Workshops was unanimously approved at Planning Committee yesterday at Horsham District Council.
These works create substantial improvements to both the access and visual character of these sites, forming a defined and coherent entrance through a phased construction process. The proposals can be delivered through a phased construction approach – ultimately removing the existing LR Showroom, Petrol Filling Station and Shop, rebuilding the new Land Rover buildings, refurbishing Workshops to meet Bentley requirements and then the extension and striking over cladding of the existing Bentley Showroom to make the most of its linear frontage to the main highway.
Detailed and on-going consultation with the Local Authority was key to achieving this approval with the sensitive and constrained site located adjacent to the South Downs National Park. Proposals have been designed to achieve a BREEAM sustainability ration of ‘Very Good’.
The approval also ensures that both buildings, operated by the Harwoods Group, can incorporate the very latest Corporate Identity and Branding for these two prestigious automotive manufacturers.
