Colindale Campus: Barnet & Southgate College
Latest site photos from the HNW designed brand new Barnet and Southgate College Colindale Campus: brick work is complete, cladding and facade underway to the primary elevations.
Comprising some 6,500m² set within a stepped five storey building the College element contains Commercial Hair & Beauty provision and new exemplar Environmental Technology Workshops fronting a new landscaped public square. The building also includes a new 500m² Public Library and 500m² Centre for Independent Living –providing services and support to the local community.
The £14million, five storey campus building is located within a thriving area of Colindale, which is currently undergoing a major re-generation scheme, with the campus being a ‘gateway’ point of the re-generation. These works form part of a £550million plan to re-generate the wider Grahame Park area; including the construction of approximately 2,000 new homes. Construction began in February 2015 and the new campus will be ready for the start of the academic year in September 2016.
The works are being constructed by Osborne, in collaboration with the College and the project team including AECOM and HNW as Lead Consultant and Architect.
