Basingstoke JLR: Planning Approval
Planning Approval was granted at Committee this week, following a recommendation for approval from the Planning Officers, for the brand new Jaguar Land Rover Showroom and Vehicle Workshop for the Harwoods Group in Basingstoke.
The new 18-vehicle twin-franchise Showroom, Aftersales and Service Workshop on Joule Road/Kingsclere Road in Basingstoke includes a rooftop parking deck and vehicular access ramp.
HNW previously received planning approval for the redevelopment of this site in 2012 – however with the release of the latest JLR branding/CI these works were not implemented.
HNW have since worked very closely with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to ensure that these new proposals incorporate the brands latest requirements whilst also considering the tight/constrained site area and proximity to adjacent residential areas.
This very high quality and striking showroom will bring new character and activity to this rather underutilised employment area of Kingsclere Road. This project has been designed to achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating and utilises rooftop parking to maximise the overall site area.
Work is anticipated to start on site summer 2016.
